FUN CARDS

These are a few graduation cards I made for area grads. I tried to coordinate the colors with their school colors. The b/w was an extra...that came in handy. Green for WB, Orange for Mepo, and Blue for Danville.

This is created using my new cuttlebug as the background...I really need more plates.

This was the silhouette paper from CTMH and the flowers were cut out using the Cricut machine. I need some more cartridges for this too.

This is the new emporium paper from CTMH and the happy birthday is on a chipboard bookplate, also from CTMH.

I got to work on a few pages over Christmas...between all the family gatherings!

These two layouts were done at a workshop I had for some girls. I just added my pictures from our Thanksgiving 2007 and doctored it up with added embellishments. I used the Perfect Day paper packet and the Perfect Day WOTG for inspiration!

This one is put together using the Good Times paper packet. The photo hangers are attached to the ribbon that was written on with a permanent marker. The "C" was printed out on the computer using "Curly" font. The "urly" are covered chipboard letters. The larger flowers were stamped from the Groovy stamp set, cut out and colored using re-inker and a blending pen. The smaller flower are from the Chocolate Mini Medley collection and have a little sparkle in the center of each one.
This layout was done with some retired CTMH graduation paper. I am not sure where it even came from :o) I found it when I was sorting through some stuff and thought it was perfect for these pictures!

BRAGGIN' TAG ALBUM

This book was created for a friend of mine. She just welcomed a new grandson into the world this week. I used the paper pack that was a multitude of patterns. It is retired now. I used the bubble cap lettering for the the front. I used the liquid glass on the arrow from the star struck stamp set and then covered the liquid glass in prisma glitter. Most of the embellishments are contraband. All the paper and stamps are from CTMH.

This goes out in memory of Malcolm Magel! He is the 13 year old son of a good friend of ours that was killed in a weight lifting accident. The funeral is today and his siblings, parents, grandparents and friends are going to need lots of prayer and support to get through it all. I couldn't even begin to imagine what is going on in their minds. With that said...never leave your child without a hug! I know I don't!

rdsWell, you don't realize how much time you spend in front of the computer until you don't have a monitor. Because of that, I got lots of time to play this weekend. I also got a VERY old monitor for now...recycle right...cheap and it works...my 16 yo laughs because we had a flat screen and now we have a dinosaur!

So, the majority of time I had to play, I also had my Jessalynn by my side. She LOVES to scrap...so I don't ever detour her. I can't get Stefanee to create for NOTHING! Anyway, with Jessalynn by my side, I didn't have much thinking going on there, so I took out my laptop, got out my flash drive that I store all my "trusty" files on, that I saved so well :o and started creating!

While I was on vacation in MN I got to spend one WHOLE day at Archivers scrapbook store at the MOA, scrapping the day and night away...while also taking a class (will post later). I just took the basic supplies with me on vacation and purchased everything in the store. One of the things I purchased was this chipboard book all cut out and layered to spell family. Paper and accessories also purchased at the store. This was eventually given as a gift to my neighbor who mowed and took care of our house while we were gone. Thanks Janice :o) Thanks for looking!

It uses a few scraps of colored cardstock (for the layering and such), a few scraps of white cardstock (for the sayings), one sheet of the same background & texture paper and then card bases. They are simple and rather quick to put together.

This is Stefanee playing powder puff football last year as a freshman. To her left is her cousin Chloe and to her right is Shalena Boyle. It was fun watching her play...definitely rougher than soccer...but not by much!

This layout was pretty much a copy of the layout in the new winter catalog. The flowers are the paper flowers in the catalog. BHS is stamped in black with Boutique Alphabet set and the powder puff is stamped using the September SOTM! This was truly a fun layout to try.

This is sooo easy! Paper roses...covered wooden box with precious paisley paper, then decoupaged! Base circles were cut using the coluzzle system.

Okay...I am cleaning up my scrapbook "room"...not only from the open house I had a month ago, but I finally got some new toys from the new catalog to play with...yeah for me. I also have been playing catch up with some of my own projects that I have left hanging and getting ready for home gatherings. So last weekend for Danville was homecoming and I had nothing else to do except get my oldest daughter, Stefanee, ready for the homecoming dance (will post pics later), and clean up my "mess" of a room :o)

Well, I stumble across a jar of tickets and beneath was the calendar and stamp set that was the door prize for the open house! I COMPLETELY FORGOT ALL ABOUT IT! How air-head-ish (if that is a word) of me.

So upon that find, I let my youngest daughter, Jessalynn, pull a ticket out of the jar...

COLORADO...HERE WE COME!

This is a layout of our vacation last year in Colorado. "COLORADO" was cut out using my Cricut diecutting machine and the paper was distressed using the ink pads. The labels are the chipboard accents, journaled, then coated in clear embossing powder.

I will be teaching a group of Girl Scouts this technique tomorrow night...sooooo...I thought I would post it here too.

Clipboard is covered with the new MORE TO ADORE b/t paper from CTMH, pictures and computer generated journaling. All glued down and covered with 3 times over with decoupage/mod podge. I wanted to cover the clip with more ribbon...but I don't have enough ribbon to allow that for all the Girl Scouts...so I will probably do it after the class :o) I think it will make it more appealing.
